Who are you?

2023

This project explored how clothing shapes identity by styling people in ways I felt would suit them, even if it pushed them out of their comfort zones. All clothing, hair, makeup, and photography were done by me, giving me full creative control. By experimenting with new looks, participants experienced how style can transform both how they are seen and how they see themselves.

Clothing is more than fabric; it’s a form of expression. It’s why certain colors, styles, or pieces draw us in—they speak to who we are, or who we want to be.

But when that armor is stripped away, when the choices are no longer yours, the vulnerability beneath is revealed. Allowing someone else to dress you in their vision can feel exposing, even uncomfortable—but it can also be enlightening, because you might discover that you like it.

Clothing can hide us, mask who we truly are, or transform us entirely. With each outfit, we can become different people, convey emotions, or project a look that reflects how we feel today, tomorrow, or the day after.
